Welcome to our web site. Ogden Presbyterian Church welcomes worshipers,
members, visitors at 10 am every Sunday morning. We are a congregation of over
300 members and growing. Our church school, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, gathers 55-65 into church
school classes following our pastor's children's sermon. Our adults hold a forum,
September to June, to study scripture and contemporary concerns. It convenes on Sundays,
11:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Our fellowship events include pancake breakfasts on the third Saturday
of each month, from 8-11 am. We enjoy chicken barbecues, dinner and music, chancel musical
dramas, golf outings in the summer, a Harvest Festival in October, Christmas caroling and
a candlelight services on the holy eve, Lenten forums and special worship, Easter sunrise
service and a June worship service in the park.
We are Presbyterian Christians. Our worship first began in Ogden in
1811. The sanctuary in which we worship today was built in 1823. Our most recent
renovations included new paint, carpet, and pews. In 1999, we built additional
office space, classrooms, and a meeting room.
We believe in the sovereignty of God, the lordship of Jesus Christ, and
the renewing movement of the Holy Spirit in the world. We join the other church families
in the mission in Spencerport and in the greater Rochester area. We care about each other,
and we care about the world in which we live, raise our children, and enjoy one another.
Our members, as well as our pastor, warmly welcome all who visit and
worship at Ogden Presbyterian Church.
